Aspiring heartland café Flatlands Coffee made national waves with a successful Kickstarter campaign. After a year and a half of wrangling permits and building out brew bars, Ben and Cassy Vollmar are finally ready to open their doors. 

The shop is located in the middle of charming Bowling Green, Ohio. Bowling Green is a college town with a young population hungry for new experiences. With the closest craft coffee currently being in nearby Toledo, the Vollmars have the opportunity to introduce an entirely new audience to specialty coffee. Initially, Flatlands will focus on manually brewed filter coffee but will add espresso service with a Modbar espresso machine early next year.
